Peel House
Site - Regency Street  London SW1

Bronze panel 4.3 high by 1.2 wide metres, for the front of Peel House - Regency Street in Pimlico - London.

The finished bronze was unveiled by Sir Paul Stephenson Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and Boris Johnson on 24 May 2010.

The historical content of the relief links the present day use of Peel House as affordable housing to its origins as the first training school for the Peelers in the early 1800s.

The panel depicts an everyday scene in London at that time - that of a Peeler rescuing a runaway horse with the terrified occupants of the carriage. Reference for the background  street scene from contemporary Frith photographs.
